Brenda Stein is a studio artist living in Nashville.
She grew up in Wisconsin, spent some time in
Los Angeles, and fell in love with trees when she
moved to Tennessee.
Stein works closely with arborists to reclaim wood
from premier trees and is well known for creating
commemorative commissioned pieces for private
individuals, organizations, and institutions, including
Nashville’s country music artist Keith Urban. Stein
demonstrates and teaches woodturning at various institutions. Her work can
be found in select galleries and many private collections.
Her airport exhibition features artwork made of trees from significant sources
including the Tennessee Residence where the sitting Governor resides, Nashville’s
Warner Parks and the University School of Nashville, among others.
