  Artist Statement
“I am intrigued by and question the degree one can be informed and misinformed by my interpretations. The palette is intended to maintain an aesthetic relationship to black and white photographs while veiling aspects of collaged imagery. Anfinson recalls, “The resulting compositions imply cloud-like forms and evoke cloud-gazing, a game of pretend in which the viewer applies meaning to distorted and shifting versions of reality.”
