Byron Jorjorian
A Walk Through Tennessee -

Concourse C

Tennessee artist Byron Jorjorian found a purpose in photography at an early age documenting nature in rural Mississippi. With an interest in biology and the daily routine as caretaker to the family's animals, young Jorjorian sharpened his eye and his appreciation of the wonders of nature. His grandfather noted his artistic interests and reaffirmed his convictions by giving him his first camera. By age 19, and with a limited budget, Jorjorian invested in his first camera. He now has over 170,000 images to his name, with more than 10,000 images published worldwide.

  Artist Statement
"The natural world has been a source of fascination and inspiration. For me, the camera is like a painter's brush, which I use to create my vision of nature. My challenge is magnified when the abstract subject is nature and the journey goes beyond its literal interpretation. The natural wonders of Tennessee have been a fountain of inspiration to me and I still find myself constantly in awe."
