The Human Experience is a juried exhibit featuring work by photography students from the Watkins College of Art & Design in Nashville. The participating students were instructed to explore and capture the array of emotions that define the human condition. Students accomplished this by using different photographic strategies and methods to visually express human life and the various cultural and social conditions that influence human emotions, situations and experiences. A selection of their photographs are on view in the Concourse Connector.

Arts at the Airport exhibits are funded in part by grants from the Metro Nashville Arts Commission, Tennessee Arts Commission, the Memorial Foundation and other grant-giving organizations.
