Suzanne Jack’s Rhapsody of Tulips is a series of landscapes created with pastels. Jack states, “Nature inspires with the promise of spring and rejuvenates the human spirit with hope.” Jack’s sensibilities as an artist and devotion to the land are revealed through a vivid color palette and a dynamic energy. Connecting physically and psychologically to the spirit of spring, she presents the land as a metaphor for her interior landscape. Jack perceives herself as a work of art in process and expresses her rejuvenescent spirit through Rhapsody of Tulips.

Suzanne Jack has lived in Knoxville for 19 years and works as an instructor of high school art students. She has a Bachelors degree in Art Education from Ohio State University and a Masters in Education from the University of Tennessee. Her work is in the corporate collections of the Tennessee Valley Authority, Opryland, Home Federal and Corporate Interiors. Selected by the Tennessee Arts Commission for a 1997 gallery exhibition, Jack has won national, regional and local awards as well as exhibitions in the Carol Reece Museum in Johnson City, TN, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN and the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN. In 1999, she was published in the “State of Mind: The Artistry of Tennessee,” calendar in Nashville and Knoxville’s City View Magazine. She is represented by the Liz-Beth & Co. Gallery in Knoxville, TN.
