President’s Message

Planning Is Critical Component to Sustainability
of the MNAA

Community — it is a word that fosters pride, camaraderie and hope. Nashville is continuously giving great meaning to the word community, especially over the past number of weeks. From taking care of a sick neighbor to volunteering with flood cleanup, we are a giving city. MNAA is proud to be a part of it, and we are committed to do our part to help our community.

MNAA was recently awarded the Enduring Partnership Award for 10 years of service with our PENCIL partner school, Inglewood Elementary. This is a great honor for those who have volunteered their time to the school throughout the years. We have had the opportunity to touch the lives of these children through volunteering with many school activities, including Career Day, Arbor Day, Walk to School Day, First Day Festival, Eagle Run and Dr. Seuss Week, just to name a few. We are proud to be involved in our community through our work with these children. MNAA has also raised money over the years to establish scholarships at middle Tennessee universities, and to pay for musical instruments and art supplies in the local public schools.

Our work in the community begins from the inside out. Our own MNAA community members are also strongly committed to supporting one another, and I am continuously encouraged by MNAA’s internal sense of community. Staff members often raise money and donate time to those on our staff who need it most, and many take the initiative to get others involved in community events. This internal community of giving is what drives us to extend a giving hand to our neighbors and schools in the community.

As an organization, we have a responsibility to our community. I am proud to say that MNAA has upheld that responsibility and will continue to do so for years to come. We are the front door to Nashville. Many times we are the first and last thing that our visitors see and experience when coming to the Nashville area. We are proud to serve our customers and the community by delivering the Nashville Airports Experience.
